Nguyen Thanh Binh, male, born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1954, graduated from Hanoi Fine Arts Institute in 1972. He specialised in oil painting at the Gia Dinh Na Academy of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City. Nguyen Thanh Binh's work has been exhibited at Tanya Baxter Contemporary Gallery in Hong Kong and he lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Nguyen Than Binh is known for his depictions of ballerinas, dancers, nudes, musicians and schoolgirls in flat colours.

Binh uses variations in the form of geometric lines and subtle colour differences to separate the subject from the background, creating a beauty of minimalism and elegance. The colour palette is mostly soft rich creams, browns and whites with occasional markings in red and black.
