The artist recommended by PRENTA in this issue is Viet Nam contemporary artist Dinh Ngoc Thang, Dinh Ngoc Thang takes the beauty and people of the plateau as the theme, and successfully injects romance and emotion into each painting, so as to attract the audience to his artistic homeland.
Dinh Ngoc Thang, male, born in 1972 in Quang Hung, Quang Ha District, Thanh Hoa Province, graduated from the University of Fine Arts in 1995.
He got a very meaningful life with his childhood in a small village, spending daily with the beautiful romantic of stream, bamboo village, rice fields, and it’s began a very artistic logic in his soul.In 1997, as others students in his village, they finished high school and apply for a new university and this is a new page for their life, many of them chose economic education, science, but Dinh Ngoc Thang with his artistic, he apply to Ho Chi Minh city Fine Art University to satisfy his passion in art. After graduating of the Fine Art University, Dinh Ngoc Thang was presented to audience many wonderful works in landscape, individual, portrait and still life. And his life on Art has chance in year 2003, first time he made a viettour to visit all the beautiful of scenery of Vietnam.
His works are almost always based on the beauty and people of the plateau, and more recently he has created a series of daily lives ranging from farmers in fishing villages to hawkers in towns. Everywhere he went, every detail on the faces of the poor was presented on his canvases, and with his realism he succeeded in drawing the viewer to his artistic homeland with the romance and emotion in each painting. Many of his works are in Viet Nam as well as overseas collectors in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, United States, United Kingdom, France and Netherlands.
