On July 14, 2024, with the "Bay Area Arts-Shenzhen Urban Art Exhibition" in Shenzhen, · Red Cube |With the successful conclusion of Longgang District Public Art Museum B1, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area once again proved its important position in the field of culture and art. With its large scale, large number of exhibitors, and active trading of artworks, this exhibition has become an important event in the art circles of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and even the whole country.


Since its opening on 6 July, this art exhibition has attracted about 200 artists and the number of works on display is about 400. The participating artists come from different regions and art schools, and their works cover a wide range of art forms such as oil painting, Chinese painting, watercolour, rock colour, calligraphy, sculpture, printmaking, etc., demonstrating the diversity and richness of contemporary art. In the ‘Bay Area Arts -Shenzhen Urban Art Exhibition’, the trading of oil paintings and Chinese paintings was particularly active. Among them, oil paintings by artists such as Feng Xiangcheng, Zhang Liheng, Wu Xunmu, Chen Ling, Zhu Qingzhong and others attracted the attention of many collectors with their unique artistic language and profound expression of emotions, and transactions were concluded on the spot. In addition, the market performance of watercolour paintings and composite materials was particularly outstanding. Watercolour paintings by Chang Haikai and composite materials by Tang Qishan were widely recognised in this exhibition, and deals were successfully concluded. This not only proves their artistic value, but also reflects the market's acceptance and demand for innovative art forms.

According to statistics, the total on-site turnover of art works in this 9-day Shenzhen City Art Exhibition reached 5.27 million RMB. The hot sales of these works not only brought financial rewards to the artists, but also set off a new collecting craze in the art market. This boom not only promotes the prosperity of the art market in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area, but also injects new vigour into the cultural and artistic development of the entire region.
