Artist: Tang Qishan

Tang Qishan (born 1986) is a contemporaryChinese painter and calligrapher. He holds a Master's degree in Cultural andArts Management from a Swiss business school and has served as a visitingscholar at the China National Academy of Painting. He is a council member ofthe Shenzhen Art Industry Promotion Association, founder and art director ofPrenta Culture, a deeply collaborating artist with the Guangzhou Art Fair, anda member of the Hunan Calligraphers Association.

Tang has held solo exhibitions at venuesincluding the Guangdong Museum of Art, Nanshan Mangu, Guangzhou NanfengInternational Convention and Exhibition Center, and Qidong Vocational SecondarySchool. His works are held in the collections of institutions such as the TibetArmed Police Force, Guangdong Museum of Art, Gansu Bamboo Slips Museum,Russia-China Chamber of Commerce, and Moscow Omega-L.

Under the guidance of Mr. Wang Yong fromthe Chinese National Academy of Arts, Tang systematically studied Eastern andWestern art theory. He also trained in calligraphy under Mr. Liu Xiaobin,Council Member of the China Calligraphers Association. Alongside his artpractice, he remains actively involved in charitable initiatives and has beenrepeatedly honored as an "Outstanding Volunteer."

Tang Qishan's artistic practice isgroundbreaking. He skillfully integrates modern composition with Easternaesthetics, forming a unique artistic lexicon. Tang's profound artistic mastery isindebted to his extensive travels and studies. He has journeyed through Russia,France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Malaysia, Kazakhstan,Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries, absorbing the essence of traditionalpainting and sculpture while closely engaging with contemporary artisticpractices. These cross-regional and cross-cultural exchanges have broadened hisperspective, enabling him to integrate diverse cultural elements into his work.
